Default EM1 suspension choice!

Any recommendations on a solid full coilover setup for em1's? Also a good site to buy from? Looking for either Function/Form, Omni power, Koni's, or Tein. Personal opinions welcome!

is the suspension on an EM1 any different than another car of the same breed?

Do you HAVE to have a good coil over setup?

For a comfy daily driver I'd just get some Tein s-techs and some KYB agx's

That way you still have adjustability.

ugh... s-techs..... they are too mushy, instead get some skunk2 (had them and loved them, just a little stiffer than oem and nice drop too) or hr sport.

True, but the soft rates are nice for a daily.

IMO, I don't mind a bit of a stiffer ride like the H&R sports offer. I prefer stiffer springrates for daily driving.

I have Skunk2 adjustable coilovers on Skunk2 Sport Shocks and they are a pretty stiff ride, good handling, but not awesome for daily driving. My friend's accord has tokico shocks on megan lower springs and it's quite a bit softer.

to be honest i miss my skunk2 springs.... im riding on skunk2 pro-s coilovers right now and they handle good and everything but the ride is harsh for a daily, but its worth it bc i can lower it to my desire, let me find a pic.

I'm on S-Techs on my daily and it's just fine. My car's not a race car and I don't mean to make it into one. It lowers it so it fits on the wheels a little better and the lowered center of gravity makes it handle noticeably better.

Most aftermarket suspension I've ridden on in other cars has been too harsh and even very uncomfortable on some roads.

I say resist the urge for JDM bling and just go for what has been proven over and over again to be great--

Koni yellows with Ground Control coilover sleeves.

I've also had very good luck/satisfaction with Koni Yellows paired w/ Neuspeed Sport springs. Stiff enough setup to auto-x/track with.

s techs are definitely my choice, ive owned many sets including skunk2 and eibach, but the s tech were awesome for DD even though they may not offer the BEST performance. just make sure to get some nice shocks to match or you will have a crappy ride if they go out.

I had skunk2's myself with tokico illumina shocks and it was pretty stiff on my 4dr ej6. Now that i am getting my hands on an actual em1 i would like a different setup! My buddy has the tein basic's but i would really like to get my hands on a set of function/form coilovers. I love the tokico illumina's!!!

PIC Selects or PIC Apex. I have the selects and they are the absolute hands down best coilovers I've ever owned. Rides like a bmw, stiff but doesn't blow the car to pieces and cause a bunch of rattles.
