Car stalls, but EVERYTHING shuts off?!?!

Car stalls, but EVERYTHING shuts off?!?!

one of my friends car stalls for no reason just ramdomly anywhere at anytime...

but when its shuts off, nothing stays on...i mean the battery light dosent come on or the check engine light....the whole dash goes blank and its like the car didnt even have a battery....

he just puts the key to off and to start again and voila it comes on again...

any one know what the problem might be?

i wanted to say ignitor but if that where the case the dash would light up!

i have no idea so i turn to you guys

sound like the ignition switch is going out......or a bad ground somewhere
