Okay I was beginning to reassemble my crvtec this weekend when I noticed a sensor on the back of my b16a block that is not on my b20 block. The sensor is located just above the the oil sending unit on the b16a. It is a two pin connection senor and I cant find it anywhere in any of my manuals. Does anyone know what this thing is and if I'm going to need to somehow put it on my b20?? Thanks in advance.

 

Knock sensor?

 

No I've already got the knock sensor inplace on the b20. I havent seen this sensor on any of the newer engines Ive worked on.

thats a first gen jdm water temp sensor. Newer motors have that sensor under the exhaust cam I think.

 

it is used to activate the radiator fan...
