If you can keep it safe and you're sure of it, get the R. Welcome to H-T too.

Welcome to Honda-Tech

A G35 and an ITR are two completely different animals. Do your homework, use the search function and be ready to paranoid and overprotective.

G35, less trouble and good for pimping it out!

all depends what you're looking for.

if you want . lightweight, no torque, high revving, rawness and no bling get the ITR
if you want . more torque, faster than itr stock to stock, more pimpness, heavier gas eater, and bling get the G35

Before I got my current DD and after owned 2 ITR's previously I was thinking of getting something a little more along those lines. I drove a few things and nothing really did it for me.

I say go drive both. See what you like. If it's the R you like more, then ask yourself a few questions. Can I deal with the headache of worrying where I drive/park. Do I have a garage to put the car in EVERY night?

Personally, I went with another ITR. I took off all decals and emblems, not to mention the spoiler. I'm on a non-stock set of rims. Sure, those who know what they are really looking for can still spot the car, however most don't know.

My friend had a G35 for about 4 months, we'd drive around together and once in a while I'd get him to hit the gas for me. Both of our cars we're pretty stock, just an intake for him and intake/exhaust for me. Rolling in 2nd, I'd keep up. They aren't superr fast cars, but for having all the luxuries you can get where you need to go.

I'd say drive both, see what you like. Overall after driving both.. I would always want to go back to my R.

G35 stickshift is faster an average driver in an ITR. By oh I don't know.. maybe .1-.3 seconds ?

I raced my friends automatic G35 beat him by half a car by the middle of 4th .
But thats just my experience, others could have different ones.

He has intake,headers, exhaust.
I am stock

Theres a ton of G35s out there but theres only a few Type-Rs left. The G35 is cool for now but nissan will update it making it a thing of the past. The R will always be cool.

Thanks for all the input, yeah I'm from San Diego, California originally and woo do the Hondas and Acuras get stolen on a daily basis. I just graduated Navy bootcamp (hooyah Navy!) and i've admired the R for who knows how long and I want to get to know it personally haven't rode in one yet hopefully in a couple of months just having some money management right now. But yeah i'll definitely try both out and see how I like them. Thanks everyone!

Depending on what your priorities are, either car is good.

If you have an R, you should own a 2nd vehicle.

I'd go with the G35. I enjoy the power curve much better. The G35 is definetly grown and sexy. Don't get me wrong though, I still love my integras! Go and test drive both and see which one you enjoy the best
