Are those Koni gas-dampers with high adjustability any good? Which springs to use with them?
I can get them for 580 USD
I want to upgrade my suspension for road-racing and AutoX. I have now stock dampers with ap lowering springs. Don't know the spring rates, but for sure stiffer than stock. I want something which is available in Europe, so Tein and stuff is out of question. OR should I go all out and buy some coilovers from KW which are using Koni dampers too.
Thanks!

KW uses KW dampers, but they are also available with Koni or Apex dampers.
I think KW is the best choice for suspensions here in Europe

I'm using KONIs with stock springs (not lowered yet). KONIs can be adjusted to match your taste/track/springs. That's why I like them!!!

Gas, so it is on their hp.
Hey Dutch: Where do you have set the high of the springs? In the 1st, 2nd or 3rd place on the dampers?

Yeah, the front dampers have 2 settings and the rear one have 3 settings according to http://www.koni.de
I have currently 9cm ground clearence to the downpipe and cat with my 225/45/16 (608 mm diameter) but this is with already 35mm lowered springs.
I think with stock setting on the Koni dampers and this springs or H&R one will be just fine. Or I use stock springs with lower damper settings.
Help me desideing on springs, please. Stock, ap (I have it now), H&R, any other brand.
Do you know if a 7.5x17 inch rim with offset 42mm will fit with a coilover suspension. A coilover suspension is normaly thicker than the stock dampers, and therefore the rimn offset cab be a problem. Anyone know?

As I understand it, the Neuspeed/Koni shocks are ONLY available directly from Neuspeed. I'm looking for other suppliers however, since I always gotta try to find the best price...

EDIT: This is a reply I got back from Neuspeed asking for a recomendation to go with their springs:
I would recommend our NEUSPEED/Koni dampers. They feature five ride height adjustment grooves for the spring perch. They allow lowering or raising of the car at each corner to a maximum of + or - 0.25". This would allow you to corner balance the car for racing. In addition, they feature a 20mm shorter piston rod for additional compression travel on lowered vehicles which allows for better ride and handling.
