Default Lowering Springs Megan VS Tein?

i'm getting lowering springs for the DA.

I' have the choice of Megan lowering or Tein lowering.

Do any of them offer anything diffrent? (besides the how far it can drop down)

i know most springs do all the same, but i just want to know to be sure.

I'll be getting some KYB's within the month of august to,

so i guess i'll be getting a Setup of Kyb agx + megan or kyb + tein.

I thought i would just ask you fellow teg owners.

my boy has got some Megans full coilover 16way adjustable on his 240 sx and they are hella stiff, even on the softest setting it's hella uncomfortable as a daily driver. but the functionality is very good. he also had another 240 a while back with teins, and they were stiffer than megans, but for the function they were the ****. i know you are asking about an Integra DA, but they probably have the same type of feeling, besides being a rear wheel car going around a corner, but the stiffness and ride quality are, IMO, the same.

on my 96 DC4 i got some Ksport full coilover 36way adjustable (same price range) and they are probably the best investment i've made in my car. they ride hella soft, i got them on setting 5, and i can still cut up every corner that my boy in his 240 can.

megan only offers one drop in their springs i believe, tein has two, the s techs and h techs

if you can afford it go with the teins as they are proven. i have nothing against megan, in fact i think they put out good product but they are a newer company, they can't compete with tein for R&D.

why are you set on springs, a nice full coilover setup is much more functional and you can set them to exactly the height you want

Well, I personally have Tein S-Techs. Havent installed thme yet, as I'm waiting for some shocks and struts. But I have heard nothing but good things (aside from the counterfit ones floating around).

Thanks for the heads up.

Funny thing is that i do have a 240 also, i'm swapping in a KA and turboing it at the end of summer.

What i actually want to do is just get some lowering springs + shocks/strust for my teg, i'm not looking to get coilovers for it.
just something for a nice drop/feel/ride.
i'll most likely run a search on what kind of set ups people have on their cars.

that's why i just wanted to know what would be better when the time comes to go out and spend all my hard earned cash on it. lol

but for my 240, i'll be putting a full coilover setup

i'd rather put it in my 240 then integra, hands down.

Thanks for the info though guys.

save a little more and get skunk2 full coilovers. they ride like a dream compared to most setups i've been on and you don't have to break down yur old shocks/springs because they come with new pillowball mounts.

THREADJACK!!

Drop in that KA dog, my homeboy in LaCenter, WA (20 min away from Portland) got his turbo kit (gt35r) on a stock KA with a ETS intercooler. Weisco pistons I think and Eagle rods and stock suspension.

He's got all that crap in a S14 running 11's all day, I thought that was impressive considering all he's got is pistons and rods with stock suspension.

should get those Ksport meng.

yeah i know, i am going to actually this wedsday, then throw a turbo on and run on like 6 or 7 psi. then over winter get some internals (cams and forged goodies ;D)

alota people don't know the potential of a KA24DE, they think it's a crap motor or what ever but it really isn't.

It can handle almost the same about of abuse and crap like a SR20.

someone on KA-T.org has a 9 second 240 i think. it's like 700hp

I had TEIN springs on my STi and I liked them for what they were (inexpensive springs). I haven't had any personal experience with MEGAN.

Teins are great on my DC2. There was a thread posted a while ago on what to look for to determine the real Teins from the fake ones.
