Default 1998 Integra LS Valve Adjuster Jam Nut

Im planning on doing a valve clearance adjustment on my car and I just wanted to know if I need the Snap-On Valve Adjustment Tool part#YA8895 to loosen/tighten the jam nut. I think I read somewhere that it is not needed when adjusting the clearance on LS. Just want to confirm before I pry open the valve cover. thanks!

Yup, you don't need it unless you have a VTEC motor or VTEC head. Just a 12mm close end wrench and a flat tip screw driver will do!

valve clearance for your ls is .005 on intake and .006 on exhaust.

i have another question. is there any difference between 94-97 and 98-01 ls valve cover? I mean , they do look different, but do they function the same, internals, etc. ?

The valve covers do look different, but it's only a cosmetic difference. They exactly the same in terms of fitment and internals.
