I have two cars, a totalled 97 EX coupe and my new car a 96 CX hatch. I dislike not having power windows/locks in my new car.
I started pulling stuff apart today in the coupe to see if I could trace the door harnesses back to a common connector like you can in the 92-95. As far as I can see, the only way I'm doing this swap is to completely pull the entire dash harness in the car and swap the harnesses. Talk about a pain in the ***.
Is there a better way to go about this, or am I doing it right.

Well, swapping the floor harness is the right way but you can also fab your own harness to make a stand alone power door harness.
To make your own, here's a decent place to start:

i have done this. i used a ex floor harness and door harness. its the best way to do it. you dont have to pull the dash just every thing on the floor, doors, back seats. its not to bad.

Yeah, that's only power windows, I want the power locks too. Ugh, talk about suckage.
Oh well, thanks for the info.

If you know how to match colors, it's easy to make your own harness. I'm putting all power in my 97 hatch and I'll just be building a stand alone harness for teh doors. I'm adding factory cruise to my 98 4 door; I"m building a stand aloneharness for that, too.
