First off I searched and even Googled and couldn't come up with anything. I'm planning on taking a look at a '97 soon and just wondering if there were any major changes in the ITR's lifespan? Besides colour is one year more desirable? In advance thanks for any input.
Just that and some (aero) front and rear bumper differences, most people I think would rather have the CW 97s since it was the first year of the R for the U.S.
Everyone knows the PYs are faster though...

I'd rather have a '97, honestly.
You live in the Manchester right outside of Fayetteville, correct? I'm heading up towards that area to visit Steezy in the next few weeks, if you'd like, I'll take you for a ride in my bolt on '00, so you have something to compare a '97 to.

For USDM R's- besides the cam and brake differences the steering rack ratio and ride height are different on the 01' model vs. other years. -15.8:1 vs 16.0:1 and 5mm lower all around.
also the 98'and up abs systems are about 12lbs lighter and come with a/c.

Actually you are wrong....the USDM 97 ITR's had the same exact ABS system as the 98+. Now the JDM 96-97 ITR's had the older heavier system. Ask me how I know....
