TC sounds TC9's w/Sundown SAZ1500d..electrical upgrades?
im hoping you guys can help me out..
my setup:
2002 Honda Accord
Sundown SAZ1500d ~1500watt@1ohm
2 12 inch TC9 based Eclipse subs
(not yet installed)
1 are electrical upgrades necessary?
this is my first time messing with an amp of this power and just want everything to check out.
2 what cap if any would be recommended?
i doubt the 1 farad best buy/circuit city stuff would handle
3 where can i find 1/0 power wire?
most places localy only have 4 gauge, maybe im not looking hard enough
upgrade/additional battery?

If that amp is truly 1500rms, AND you're running it at 1ohm, you will need a new alternator to get the full potential out of that amp. A cap isn't a bad idea either, but you're better off getting an alt. first.
As far as 1/0 wiring there are lots of companies out there that sell it, just make sure it's actually that gauge as opposed to 4g with a really thick shield. Brands such as streetwires make good stuff, but they're kinda pricey.
An upgraded battery wouldn't be a bad idea if you're planning on running the system with the car off for extended periods.
On my del sol I was running approx 1000rms, but it got to a point where turning the deck up wouldn't increase volume hardly at all: my stock alternator just could not supply enough current to keep up with my stereo

apparently the amp does put true 1500 rms..i was sold on the reviews alone. no more jl amp for me haha. you should check them out wwwsundownaudio.com
i was doing a little more research on caps..seems as though a lot of big system people choose not to run them..but instead go with an upgraded batter/alternator instead..i used to think caps were good stuff?
