ep3 07 wheel conversion?

I've been interested in swapping to a 5 lug setup on my '02 Si so that I could share a set of track wheels with my ITR. I assume it's more than just the hubs that would need to be changed?

I just wanted to be able to mount five lug wheels on my 02. I really not that concerned about the braking upgrade or the weight of the wheel. EP3's are slow anyway.I haven't seen anyone with 06/07 si wheels on an 02/03.

There are SO many more wheel choices for a 4x100 wheel, why would you want to do that?

EPHatch has been having a lot of problems the past week or two... Basically when my friend did her Type-S 5lug swap she had to get the following stuff:
Type-S Axles, 02-03 RSX Type-S 5lug swap, Lower Ball Joint, new BOots from Honda $2 each, you can use the EP3 brake lines, new cotter pins, new brake fluid, new axle grease, and you also could use some PB blaster

I know that you can use parts from the base model RSX, then you do not need different axles.

You're correct, I apologize for not making that clear in my post. My friend purchased the Type-S axles, but you can use the base RSX ones as they are 5lug too.

That's another reason I'd like to do the swap - my bronze MF10s would look sweet on a white EP

If you just want the 5 lug setup you can get the hubs and rotors from the 04-05 ep3 and throw those on. I believe everything else is the same. But rsx or ep 5 lug will still require spacers to run the 07 si wheels.

finding an 04/05 5 lug setup would be really hard because not many people swap that out unless they are doing a type r conversion which is rare too. getting the parts from a dealer would cost way too much plus if you are gonna do all that work than why not just do a type s swap and get the advantage of bigger rotors in the front at a much cheaper price than doing the 04/05 si 5 lug swap.

i did it and i love it

heres the front done

finished product
i love how the bigger front rotor looks in the wheels

how much did that trunk load cost you, minus the struts?

Mike,
Going 5 lug was the best thing I ever did to the EP3 along with suspension. I recommend the TYPE-S lugs over the DC5R setup though. It's more practical and never had an issue with braking on track with Cobalt pads.
