How hard is it to piece together a turbo kit?
to piece one, you must know how to weld. If you cant, it gets expensive, welding tends to be $90/hr or more, especially when you have to fab things as you go.
The more you know, and the more you can DIY, the easier custom piecing is, BUT, when you get it right, its easier to deal with than a kit cuz everything actually fits.

http://www.homemadeturbo.com its as simple as understanding what parts you need for the job and paying 6-700 overall depending on how baller you go on parts. Many people on that forum have done turbo kits for 4-800 dollars and have held up under daily abuse for years.
You're not gonna HMT this car for 600 bucks. An EF with OBD-nonexistant... maybe. But this thing fights back hardcore. It needs some electronics, there's no junkyard manifold option cuz of the bolt pattern, and, at least IMO, its too new to start garbage boosting it, if you even can.
