parking pole??
It makes it easier for the driver to judge where the far corner of the front bumper ends, which is particularly helpful in the tight parking situations commonly found in Japan.

I lived in japan for 2 years. Those things are worthless, and ugly as sin. LMAO. You wont find on of those on someone car over there that races. If their car does come with it they have it disconnected. I find really amusing what people presume is JDM and the look of what a japanese persons car would look like over there.

ive always thought about that, how something thats concidered "stock", "useless" and for the lack of a better word at the moment "un cool" in JDM land is whored to the max here in the states, it would be like someone putting a stock Cx EH cluster with no tach in an EG over there because its USDM OEM.

Yeah they dont do stuff like that over there. Hell most of the cars look like **** till you line up with them and they blow your doors off. Most run with a car with several different color body panels and different rims in the front and back. You can always tell the really fast ones though. They have about 8 defi gagues and a clean body kit and exspensive paint job. For the most part though they all look like *** untill you pop the hood. But yeah, I get a kick out of ppl and their obsession with the JDM look and 99% have never even been there.
I know this will hurt alot of ppls feeling on here but you dont even see hooked up hondas. In the 2 years I was there I only saw and raced one honda and it was a type-r. All were either, 180sx's, s-13, s-14, s-15, laurels, crestas, aristos, chasers (which is my dream car), and skylines.

Yeah they do. If you do see one of those there it is cleaner then most show cars here in the states. Would never see a rust bucket there. It is kinda funny, but one day I was driving next to one they looked straight up like some cholos. White drop top '64 with black stenciling down the sides, complete chrome underbelly, they were wearing a white fitted cap and white bandana, white wife beater, and some khaki dickies, with a go-tea. They even have the low rider car clubs there. I saw way more of those then any honda hooked up.

Like they said they are for small Japanese parking. The poles, the folding mirrors, and the half shaft button for the antenna that people buy without knowing that there is a relay that is supposed to be with it on the power antenna that will allow it to go only halfway down.
Mainly just jdm bling that doesn't have much use in the us.

Folding mirrors are JDM? When did that happen?
