Default 8-10weeks forwheels!?

Is it normal to have to wait this long to wheels to be delivered?

Depends on who makes them, what the demand is, where they are made and shipped from. I ordered Forged 5Zigen FN01R's had to wait until there was enough for a production run, 14 weeks from Japan!

I ordered my Bronze Volks in April of 2006. They got to the US in November/December I think? I ordered my Time Attacks in November of 2006 and those arrived in the US in July of 2007. I MIGHT see them next week at my house.

REAL RARE JDM wheels take time. Normally it's 3-6 months. If they aren't in stock, they have to be produced. No such thing as overnight parts from Japan...

I got lucky and Weaksauce had my wheels in stock. Otherwise it was going to be 8-12 weeks for them too...

We have custom colored Volk RE-30's for Team SGR 240SX and they are taking over 3 months- and we're sponsored by them. So, yeah, it takes a while.

Gotta wait for those containers!

it took 12 months for my Volks back in 2003.

I ordered another set 31 days ago. I ordered a set that was in stock so I would not have to wait. Even though they really weren't the color or size i wanted. Hopefully they will be here some time next week.

Taken from the B-day thread...........

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by I:_Drive &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">people are so ******* **** on this website... i basically gave him a list of parts. exactly what he asked for. imo an intake is a waste too.. same with lip kits and removing the stock wing. people dont like my opinion so i tend not to throw it out there as much anymore. like calling the DCRH a POS and saying that the AJP turbo kit is overpriced. and the fact that everyone is racing to buy all this crap before hondata cracks the ecu for us. ill drive my car stock with some hfp suspension and a nice set of wheels until they do and enjoy my warranty. there you wanted my opinion you got it.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Guess Advans are Stock

Hypocrisy at it's finest.

it's ok maggot we love you still! I really don't think Hondata is going to crack the ECU, they never did for the TSX. What will be different this time?

why would you crack the ECU for the TSX? not enough aftermarket support, the cars were meant to be plush inexpensive 4 door acura's.... acura's entry level sedan, not exactly a performance powerhouse and there aren't people knocking down hondata's door for TSX stuff..

Civic Si is a different deal though (I know same intake, head, and DBW) but it has always been considered Honda's "performance" car (before the s2k) not to mention their affordability factor. These two things combined mean big interest in modifying the Civic Si.. just look on HT for example:

TSX section has a total of about 10k posts
06+ section has a total of over 70k posts

and the TSX has been out longer.. the interest and potential to make money is there.. hondata will crack the ECU
