Crankshaft seal - what a pain! I cant get this out
see your thread on the camshaft seal, I just posted how I removed both the camshaft and crankshaft seals on my Civic during my recent timing belt change.

You went between the shaft and seal though right? where the rubber flap is sealing against the shaft? Atleast thats the way it looks in the picture. I went right through the center of the face on the seal by poking the scratch awl through it.
