Default HID not working

I have an HID kit that I can't seem to figure out. My stock lights work fine. I plug the ballast harness into the factory plug and then the other wide into the headlight bulb. Nothing comes on. Anyone help?

sometimes you need a relay with a wire directly from the battery, or in the case of my 04' WRX i had to ground the relay switch to the same point that my stock headlights were grounded. Fvck DRL's

Where would I get this relay? So I would need one for each ballast?

Well i bought my kits right here on honda-tech but i only have one relay which gets power from the battery, ground from the chassis and than it has a plug that goes into one of my headlight plugs. If you post up a few pics of your ballasts i might be able to point you in the right direction for a relay harness for cheap

Here is the wire harness i had in mind, the plugs WILL fit yours since my ballasts look the same. https://shop.3bspecialties.com...Id=10 I'm not positive that it will fix your problem, but it should

Ordered one, I'll see if that works. If not, I'm only out $10.

I'll let you know when I get mine hooked up and working. I've rode in a few cars that had them and they really lit up the road.

I saw a thread a while ago that tells you how to make the reflectors to cut off the beam.

Problem solved. After reading another post about the wires being backwards, I checked mine. After switching the wires they now work. I have one of those harnesses, should I use that also? There was a link somewhere in this thread with the harness in question. Would it be safe to use it in addition to the lights?

What Kelvin temperature are you guys using on the hids? I want to buy a 9006 conversion hid kit but want the right color, i want it to looks as close as the bmw, 350 z's, newer cars look, looks like a 6000K from pictures i have seen so far, I had some 9006 jdm bulbs that were 4000K but looked excellent, are hid bulbs different? could someone help?

if you wire it directly to the harness it should light up, but i would run a harness with a relay on it

I had to reverse mine and they work. They really lit up the road nice on my way home from softball. I'll install the harness I purchased separate on Monday since I have to work everyday till then.
