Your ignitor in your dizzy is bad.

Do you mean to say your tach is malfunctioing (by bouncing) and your motor works fine, or is your motor doing what your tach is showing?

If the first statement is your case, its a wire/tach problem. Can be caused by a bad cluster (needle is busted) or a wiring problem somewhere.

Pop your hood and look at your Dizzy. Now see if there is any play on the blue wire. If so, push it in on both sides and see if that helps. It did for mine.

What do you mean ignitor? I literally just a whole new Coil, Igntion module, Cap Rotor and plugs and wires.

The solid blue (no stripes) is the signal from your dizzy to your tach on your cluster, check it to make sure it is properly connected.

You'll need to replace your dizzy. Go to a auto parts store and order a rebuilt dizzy.

Don't bother trying to replace the ignitor it's $90.00. Been there done that.... Just get a rebuilt dizzy for $170.00. It comes with all new pieces.

Think it takes a break by the ECU first...but yeah, solid blue, tach signal.

Mine does the same thing sometimes. The car runs perfectly. I have a little over 250k miles on my car though, so I assumed it was just a tired gauge cluster.

Worth a shot IMO, just make sure you run your tank down to a 1/4 tank or less before you add that stuff, works best that way.
