Hey
I went to the gas station today and everything wad fine with the car, no problems at all, i filled the tank and when i get in the car and try to start it it makes this starnge noise like a scratch and like it has no battery and the lights fade from the panel.
I then turn off the key and try to turn it on and it makes the same thing 3 or 4 times i leave the car and turn the alarm on then turn it back off and the car starts like normal and runs like normal.
What can i be dealing with?

sounds like a main relay.. was it super hot outside?

 

What is your battery voltage at idle, and static ( car off ). I don't believe the main relay would contribute to the scratching sound like the OP describes. I could be wrong

 

oh i forgot to tell, when the car starts after the problems it's like i took off my battery.
The presets in the radio disapear and the clock in the car returns to 1:00.
If it's the main relay can i drive around with the car like that?

p00n i really don't know and i will only be able to check that tomorrow, i was just checking to see if someone had the same problem and could tell me what was wrong and if i can drive the car without messing the internals.

yes thats what im doing, mine burnt out like a month ago and ive been driving around with it.. IF it is ur relay just be sure to park in the shade ALL THE TIME until you get a new one

It's night here so i won't have a problem with shade
What else can it be if not relay?
