Default Need help with painting valve cover!

I'm in the process of painting my valve cover and injector cover on my 2005 Dodge Neon (yes, I know it's not a Honda, but I've seen some of your guys' work, and WOW! I'm impressed!) and the only place I got is my garage. I need some tips on how to keep debris off the stuff I'm painting, like sand particles and whatnot. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys!

Clean whatever you are painting thoroughly, make sure to use a tack rag before you start painting, and in between each coat of base. Also wet down the area you will be painting in, like the floor and if walls (if you are painting near them).

Wipe down the WHOLE car with Acetone before doing any work.. This takes out any oil on the car.

For keep debris off your car, not much you can do to stop that in your garage, your probably going to get bugs, sand and everything else on there.. Only because being that your garage is not a completely dust free area and sealed off.
