How strong are stock brake lines?
It seems most people that road race/track their car install ss lines. I know the stock expand with the high temps and make the peddle mushy, but aside from that. Is there any danger in running stock lines. Could they potentially rupture?
Most people change those lines for brake feel.
Lines breaking isn't often an issue. My stock brake lines have made it 130k, and 4 Road races at PIR.

There is no danger. This is a civic and you can only go so fast and brake so fast so within this range, no, nothing will happen.
They will just get mushy (so annoying)

No, it's not. I'm posting from personal experience of watching a friends stainless line rupture randomly one day and returned to a pool of blue brake fluid
Search on the topic. There is a full thread made in a forum for nsx's that talks in detail all about it. Bottom line is, stainless lines are great but are made for race purposes. What does that mean? THEY WEAR AND SHOULD BE REPLACED AS OTHER RACE PARTS REQUIRE. Therefor stock is great for a long time, stainless I've read need to be replaced about every two years.
