I've never done this before but I've looked online about it. So I just take off the wheels and switch out the stocks with the lowering springs right?

Basically, yeah. You will need a spring compressor or a clamp when taking off and putting on the springs.

May not be true of the new springs. I remember mine were the tiniest bit taller than the shock rod could reach, so I just put my weight on them and had someone run the nut down
