I ran into this issue... I ahve a set of pro1's that I bought after I bought a complete supertech valvetrain. Well, when having my machinist cut in the valves, I had him measure the retainer to valve seal height... yeah, with the supertech stuff, the pro 1 intake cam would supposedly cause the retainer to hit the valve seal The skunk2 retainers made the clearance better

supertech makes a retainer that has a higher installed height so there is more retainer to valve seal clearance which you need to ask for.

How old are the valves you now have? How many missed-shifts? How many valve jobs? How thick is the margin? Any wear on the stems?

stock gsr valves, head is at the machine shop need to drop off the parts including a valve job(first one) and never seen the valves out side the head before so i cant say, i like stock gsr there tough little suckers BUT like i said when i picked up my cams he said i should get valves so that they dont float at high rpm.

That is one LONG sentence.

The usage of stock valves is not what bent your brothers valves when using Pro3's.

I have run pro 1's on supertech valve train for two years now. Reving to 9500 on a regular basis and have no problems.

sorry the thing i dont like about valves is that i always hear when you over rev them be ready for bent valves.(not that i over-rev I DONT)
my reason for wantin valves is that i was told its safer with these cams.
anyone ever try "BLUEPRINT" valve train getting good deal and was told i can use these
