Brake Light stays on
Hey, I recently acquired a 90 Accord Ex-R AT with 112,000km on it (now has 126k after 3 months
)
Every once in a while the brake lamp light will come on and stay on, just wondering what might be the cause of this.
Also my check engine light comes on very often when I brake or de-celerate, I have a hole in the exhaust up near the engine so I think that might be it but I figured I might check in here anyway.
Any help would be appreiciated

Brake lamp malfunction can be caused by poor grounds in the bulb holder such as corrosion. Also the solder on the bottom of the bulbs can get flattened out as well as the solder connection in the bottom of the socket.
The other brake lamp is usually turned on by low brake fluid in the reservoir, and you can test the float switch by taking the cap off and flipping it upside down.
