I bought a 91 accord ex about 2 years ago and since ive had it, the rear antenna never moves up or down, it just says up, luckily enough. You can hear the motor turn on and run but it still doesnt move i think a little plastic gear sliped or somthing but i was in the process of removing it but the metal part around the outside is just stuck and wont move so i cant get the motor and antenna out. I also noticed a line coming in from where you put the gas, is it a gas motor?? any advice on how to get this antenna out, i think im going to have to break the metal and buy a new piece, which will probably be a pain to find but any help is appreicated

 

ur best bet is to buy a whole new power antenna mast on ebay or something.

and replace the whole thing.

It sounds like you might just need a new mast.
New retaining nut comes with the antenna mast
