Default getting on it, smell

my car has 15k on it, and i have had it since march of 06.

okay everytime i get into the higher rpms my car smells like crap. the smell reminds me of kosmiline on exahust but i checked it out and there is nothing on the exhaust or anywhere near it except the heat shielding really. this happens wheather the a/c or heater is on but worse if either are on. i really dont want a tech at the stealership to be ripping through gears in my car just to tell me i am full of ****. anyone had this issue, or know how to resolve it.

Sometimes if you don't get on a vehicle alot there can be a carbon build up. And when you smash the gas the carbon is being burned up and that will cause a smell from the exhaust.

there isn't a Honda synthetic oil. The dealership by me uses mobil1 synthetic. Comes in on a truck. I was gonna try it out, unfortunatly they had run out.

So... I just bought a filter and ran down the road and picked up 5qts of Royal Purple. Had the oil changed at lunch. I feel a difference, but there is no telling if it's the normal "car feels better after oil change" or if it's "big HP gain from synthetic"

before anyone jumps me over the big HP gain from synthetic, I was J/K

I was going to say, if it smells like rotten eggs or similar, then it might very well be your cat. It's the sulfur heating up and making a big stink cloud behind yah

Not much you can do that I know of, but it should fade.
