Default B16 swap- vehicle speed sensor wiring diagram?

ok heres the deal.
I have a 93 civic ex. just swapped a 95 JDM b16 from an SiR. Took my time, and the swap came out pretty clean/o.e.m looking. I left the ex harness in there and everything matched up except for like one plug that was on the d16 intake manifold, and there was no spot for it on the B.

When i start it up the CEL comes on. I check the codes and get 17 and 1. when i was wiring the o2 sensor i must have switched wires and backfed power into the ECU and fried some of those little things in there. When i cracked it open i could see that there was stuff blown so i took it to a local import shop and had then repair it and they said that they pluged it into another b16 and got no cell. I go home and plug it in and i still have the 17 code. My speedometer still works, but since i was getting the code i order a VSS from napa put it on and still has a code.

this is my logic, i looked it up and couldn't find what wire does what but there are 3 wires. signal to the ECU, signal to the cluster, and ground. Since the speedometer works it shouldn't be that. I'm thinking that VTEC is working although i am testing it in my driveway in first gear and its tough to get above 20mph. that would mean that the computer is getting signal too. Leaving the ground. The VSS has a yellow, yellow/white and a black wire. Im thinking that it has to be the ground. Does the VSS ground through the ECU like the o2 sensor does?

Hoping someone knows how to test this thing, and/or could check over what i have done and make sure that im not missing something simple or dumb. Any help would be great, thanks
