so i traded a stock cam for the stage 3 one and was wondering if anybody used it before.

i now i need to get valve springs and retainers but what else will i need to do.
and on the crower page it says that this cam require head work is there something else i need except the valve springs nd reatiners.

il aprreciate any help u can give me

You'll need sp/rets and some kind of EMS. Hopefully your engine is built or it won't do that well.

 

The head may need notching due to the lift of the cam and some rocker arms may need to be shaved because of the overlap.

 

thanks for the info guess ill just throw the cam into a spare head nd check the clearances i will have need nd if it needs extensive work il just selll the cam

 

i had to remove a good amount of material of the cam valley walls.. big s.o.b of a cam.

whats your setup, the crower stage 3 needs compression and lots more air over stock....

blew the y8 got a z6 then my friend wanted to trade me the y8 cam for the stage 3 cam so i did it and i just wanted to see if its a drop in nd go type of deal or there has to bein alot more done then just valve springs and retainers.

the z6 is stock other then y8 intake mainifold nd ls tb

 

i'd get a aftermarket intake manifold, b series tb, and some headwork, need some recut/refinished valves seats anyways

 

i already have a LS throttle body i was gonna throw the cam in for the time being while i built the y8 back up for boost but i dont now guess ill see maybe just sell the came and get a less agressive one

i see that you have this cam how does ur mother run with it ? and whats the idle with this cam
