Default Oil Gush From Behind The Motor When Cranking

i was driving to visit my cuzzin in northern california on friday night..... all of a sudden there was a big rattling sound from the bottom of the car....next thing the check engine light came on after two flashes the car just shuts off gas pedal locked but i can still break a little..... and then i pulled over on the side of the freeway.....i try to start the engine...yes it still cranks but as soon as i gas the car it turns right on but a big gush of oil leaks through from behind the motor spilling all over the bottom of the car onto the freeway.....what can be the problem here? any help or opinion would be great...thanks................

might be an oil drain plug came out from the pan...or it's loose...maybe.

sounds like the oil filter is loose or fell off.

i think your oil filter might have came loose like mentioned above. most likely, your engine is toast.

is a K swap worth it? well, thats more of a personal question. you will definately be dropping a pretty penny to get the k swap done correctly, plus a lot of downtime for your car.

3 year old thread...your bringing it back up for the reason it could have spit a rod, oil filter fell off, drain plug fell out, curb shot on the oil pan...

get under the car and look if you didn't lose a lot of oil i doubt the drain plug fell out and i doubt the filter fell off, i'd prepare for the worst, get under the car and look.
