Default Oil pump install

When installing the oil pump it says to apply liquid gasket to the pump and install. This means rtv or is there something else i should use ? There is no gasket involved here correct besides the seals on the pump itself. I am talking about sealing the pump to the block. Thats how it seems in the book however just seems kind of strange to me.

Im looking on page 8-15 on the factory service manual.

You're building an engine, and you're complaining Hondabond is expensive? I only use Hondabond HT, it's much easier to work with than Hondabond 4, IMO. Also, I've never had anything that worked as well as Hondabond HT for me. It also cleans a ton easier than most RTV I've used.
