It will probably be cheaper to just import a RHD civic. Earlier this summer I spent half a month there and 92-95 civics were going for around $500-1000. Importing and registering/inspecting costs will be the overwhelming majority of your price.

you do understand how much work is involved in doing a RHD swap dont you? You have to pull the motor, pull everything out of the engine bay, remove the entire front suspension, the entire dash/underdash. Cut/weld/seal the firewall. And then put it all back in. Be happy ou only got quoted 2500. I charge more than that.

And about the sucking driving thing...maybe he's just not ambidextrios?
We're doing a RHD conversion right now...I really don't have any complaints as the original car had no motor in it and we were brough the bare RHD front clip

I have done a couple RHD conversions, And I charge 2500, but I work out of my garage and dont have any overhead like a shop doesn, but it takes ma a SOLID 60 hours of hard work to complete. Thats of course doing everything the right way. I did one in around 25 hours but it was haggard

^ dude that was nicly put. my da rhd con. took me about 80 hours, but i did everthing right found out what each wire was tagged it and sodier it back together. if i have to do it again i would def charge way more than 2500. im thinkin some where in the 5000 to 5500 range
i did mine in about 100 hrs in the hot *** sun (no garage) 2500 seems fair. if i was to do it again for someone id charge prob more than that. its alot of damn work. its one of thoes things where if u cant do it yourself, it probably doesnt make sense you do it.
there is a couple shortcuts you can take. The car harness, all you have to do is flip it to the opposite side and EVERYTHING works, if you have automatic windows then you just have to depin and repin 5 wires. I did one in a 4 door and there is a few more wires but everything comes out spiffy (yes i said it)
I dont think i have ever (unless a wire was already cut) had to cut a wire when doing a RHD conversion. But i always make sure i have a CLEAN doaner clip.

A clean doner clip definitely helps out alot.
