Either of those are fine... It's just a carbon fiber hood man, don't cheap out and you'll be fine.

The only reason I sold it was that it was the Invader style w/ the vent (very functional but) the design was causing it to rub against part of the valve cover. Now I have wear marks on it down to the metal. So it's back to OEM style. Live & learn.

I've had a VIS OEM hood for about 3 years now, no real complaints. I give it a 8.5/10.

Had a VIS for about 4-5 years. After about year 4 the hood looked faded, never did get it out, still have it will probably paint flat black for expo so that it doesn't look too bad. Also the fitment wasn't all that good, it didn't line up completely with the fron bumper.

My VIS hood had perfect fitment, but its finished only lasted at 2+ years. This was waxed/sealed regularly but the fade literally happened in a months time and I was left with an eye sore for a hood. Others have posted with much better results, so maybe my hood had a bad clear on it. Either way, I would spend the extra cash as many have stated and guarantee a quality piece.

This is old news now, but still informative reading: Carbon Fiber Shortage

I'm sure your hood was the same as mine, so it could've been a bad batch, but that's some shitty product, I wouldn't recommend having a CF hood if you park out in the sun a lot or leaving it out in the rain and then letting the rain dry on it, at least not with the VIS. Personnally I would buy another CF hood, but I wouldn't leave it on the car if it's to be DD and I would just put it on when going to events and such. They are worth the weight savings because it's probably a good 40-50 lbs lighter.
