ok i have a 93 prelude si h23......well this morning i was going to the smog shop when th vehicle suddenly started over heating .....i pulled up to a liqour store near by shut it off and got water.....i put 2 bottles of water in were the cooalnt goes and then the car seemed to b fine i drove it for like one hour with no problems temp is fine and everything but then i noticed that water was leaking from wat appears to b the side of the engine were the belts are......those this mean its a bad watr pump? or wat could it b? is there anything i can do to fix it....i no theres radiator fix liquid but its not coming from the radiator so i dunno help me please

 

you sure of the source of the leak? if it's a leak coming straight out of the block, i wouldn't know... i would think water pump but can't say for sure.

other possible sources are of course your radiator, your hoses, water pipe... take a closer look and see if you can pinpoint it.

and don't bother with any radiator fix GUNK because it's garbage and only a band-aid. maybe only in an emergency.

 

umm ok its coming from behind the engine bottom part of block but over oil pan i dunno its leaking bad but just when i turn it on ....when the car is off it dont leak anymore.....is it the water pump seal?

 

any chance its on the driver side of the bottom?

 

It sounds like it's coming from the water pump from what you're saying....
