How hot does an exhaust manifold get on 2001 1.7 L LX civic? Mine is cracked and I just want to do a quick fix until I get all the part in. I have a 2001 LX civic and wanted to use Alumiweld to fix it but it's working temperature is 730 degrees F.

yah, at times you can almost double that for the gasses going through it. I'm not sure how hot the actual manifold gets, but I'd bet it's more than 750*F.
Permatex makes stuff for exhaust patching, you may want to look into that at your local parts store.
edit: part #26346 is what I'm thinking of .... http://www.amazon.com/Permatex...LBZMG

Hey Relic,

Thanks man! Didn't know about the Permatex stuff.
I will use it instead. Thanks again.

The hottest exhaust temperatures should get, would be around 1400 degrees Fahrenheit.

dont waste your time with the exhaust patches, it will not work, i promise you. the exhaust, not to mention the manifold (which gets even hotter), will heat up so much that the patch will just burn in a matter of minutes. plus, on a LX model, the cat sits on the exhaust manifold, so it will get even hotter than a manifold without a cat.

just get yourself an new manifold or header.
