Well like I have said before. The older these cars get... the lower the Nada value will be. Banks use Nada for loans etc. It will get to the point where banks will give less thank 10k loan. That means someone will have to have a good amount of cash laying around to buy the car. The longer they wait, the harder it will be. Alot of banks wont even finance a car older than 7 years older without a rediculous interest rate.

We all know that NADA/KBB etc. doesn't take the ITR model into consideration like we do. Lots of other banks (including mines) go off what your approved for and not what NADA/KBB think.

I agree although alot of people say if they had 30k they would do it. I wouldn't consider it.

When I bought my R, the dealer showed me his that was PY and was parked in his garage forever, never drove it. Last time I saw him about a year or two ago it was for sale at the Acura dealer and I think he had about 5000 miles on it, mint, never been touched, looked like it had been sitting in their showroom the whole time.

rather high for a car without its original body panels, no?

i dunno, i dont think an ITR with 100 miles is worth 30k. let alone one with 100x more mileage and a jdm front end.

if you try to price out a 97 ITR w/ KBB for private party, it will not allow it. Because the market for this trim is unusually small, specialized or otherwise unique, we are not able to report a Private Party value

Exactly, same situation with all the other years it was produced.

that kind of thing happens. in the beginning of 04 i bought a 02 GTI 337 from someone who had it for sale outside of his vacation house in OC. there were only 1500 of them brought to north america. it had very low mileage (which was odd because the guy was from another state and vacationed here), carfax checked out, nothing unusual and it was MINT so i bought it (and at a premium)

after i sold it a few mos later to get an Si, i found out that the guy i bought it from hit a drunk pedestrian and killed him. the car sat in police impound for a long time and as soon as he got it out, he put it up for sale so he'd never had to drive it again.
