I know someone who tried the same thing and got rejected by the NHRA, did you send detailed pics to the NHRA for approval?
SUSPENSION, REAR:
Aftermarket lower control arms, strut tower braces, lower tie bars,
sway bars, and limit straps are permitted. Rear suspension must
maintain minimum shock travel of 1 inch. All rear suspensions must
use at least one working shock absorber per wheel. Suspension
modifications limited to bolt-on items only. Only OEM suspension
mounts/attachment points may be utilized. Spindle mounts
prohibited.
You do know the deffenition of spindle mount correct?

i see lug nuts........
a true spindle mount the one they are calling in the rules, is an Anglia style spindle mount. no lug nuts. look at most hot rod cars. if all factory points are used, and everything else is tip top, it should be legal.
depends on how it is interpreted. our rear hubs are spindle mounted stock.
i can see how both sides are taken. yes it may use a tapered bearing spndle, BUT it isnt a spindle mounted wheel. there is still a hub and lugs.
garry raasch and pat from NHRA need to make a ruling on this. not us.

The definition of spindle mount as i have always been told by chassis builders among others in when the spindle in apart of the shock itself just as these are. This is nothing more then the same suspension a hot rod car runs yet it has lug nuts. This is a pic of the backside of a spindle mount suspension....
up until now i have never seen that suspension. and does seem like it could go either way.
but i still stand behind my anglia style spindle mount statement. he hee.

Lol, look at any hot rod car. Its nothing new, been around for years. If they dont allow things as head light scoops you really think they sure as hell are not gonna allow something like this. A friend tried 2 years ago and they were very firm with the NO. I would love to see the answer from NHRA because he still has the suspension just lchilling in his garage.
That is a very expensive purchase to not double check with NHRA first.

well im trying not to bench race as my car only runs on a base he hee. until next friday he hee. then its on, but i wont bitch about nhra as i dont have a pan yet.
