High Milage Oil
I have a '94 LX with 160k miles and somebody suggested that I use high mileage oil when I change my oil. Is that really necessary and if so what mileage is a good time to start?
I dont use it, and I dont really plan to. I hear that its just a marketing bulls**t. Its supposed to be thicker so that it doesnt seep through the worn seals in your car. I wonder why not just use a thicker grade oil then? I think my seals should be good. I changed most of my seals between my timing belt change and my clutch change.
Its not meant to do any thing amazing other than last longer and protect better. Amsoil is seriously good stuff but don't don't expect BJ's while you drive or anything!
