Default B18A in ef wiring problems

Car: 91 dx hatch with B18A swap. MPFI is done.

Car ran great for about 5 days without any problems. I was driving and the motor just cut out. After getting it home and examining the problem, I realized that the ECU fuse was blown. I replaced it and once i turn the key, the fuses blows. I found out that something from the ECU plug A is causing it to blow. I finally found out that if I unplug the main relay and turn the key, the fuse does not blow.

Now comes the question.. Do I have a bad main relay, or is the problem the wires going to the main relay? If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, let me know..

Thanks.

I bought a new main relay and the fuse still pops right when i turn the key in the on position. This is getting frustrating.

Found out I had a bad ecu. Got a new one and the car ran for about half an hour. I popped the hood and the battery exploded and would not start. I am guessing Alternator problems now, but I am so frustrated and tired of all this crap.. Anyone have any ideas?

hot wire grounding out on the chassis or another wire somewhere. you better dig back through that wiring and make sure it's well insulated.

This sounds just like what a buddy of mine problem he is running into! Here's his story he has a 91 hatch dx b16a swap. Driving one day just cut out and died on him on the highway popped the hood and the alternator was fried it was smoking. So he got it towed home replaced the alternator wont start keeps blowing the ecu fuse every time he turns the key. So I thought maybe his ecu is fried also I had a crx si ecu plugged it in and it fired right up, so we order a new b16 ecu. Get that in start it up its normal now runs fine and every thing. Now maybe a month later after driving goes to start it one day it just cranks check engine light come on but no flashing on the ecu.So he's pist off leaves it sit for a week, we go out there try to start it up and it's running now with no check engine light ether. Now every once in awhile it will do the same thing and not start just crank but the check engine light does not come on any more. The swap been in there for about 5 years now and never had no problem. I have read that it could be the main relay also but not sure. it also spudders every once in awhile. please help me fix his car thanks and sorry for stealing some ones post
