Default What camshafts??

Hey, I'm in need of advice everyone. I have 00 itr w/ crower dual valve springs, ti retainers, manley oversized valves. Block is stock w/ bolts on. I can't figure out a good set of cams. My R is somewhat daily driver so a set of street cams is a must. thanks

Why would you have done all that valvetrain work, with no internal mods and no cams?

Right Dave? lol...

Depends on how much power you want to make and what your compression is or will be. This will just be another... well I run this and I have this yadda yadda yadda thread.

Well i'm looking for a set of cams before i install the head. Are you saying that i won't have any benefits of having a built head on stock block at all???

cams depend a lot on compression. raising it will result in more power and different cam profiles.

Stock compression... M22s are what I'm looking at.

Most of your power will always be made in the head... That said, you need supporting mods too.

What I'm getting at is this... You want power? You gotta do the head. You want to do the head, you gotta do cams, you want good power, you gotta use radical cams, you want to use radical cams, it's pointless without higher CR's.

See where I'm going with this? It's a snowball affect...

if you are daily driving this car and end up getting big cams, be careful of retainer wear. since the head isnt installed yet, I would put the stock retainers back in since its a daily driver.
