Default What to build

I'm looking at picking up an EG shell and I can't decide on what to drop in it. B16,LS, LS/VTEC, CR/VTEC, or turbo-D. I'm trying not to spend too much ($3500 total maybe?). I'm looking for something high 8's in a straight line and can handle mild trips without pulling over half way. Also can't decide between EF or EG

hahaha easy sho-nuff he didnt have his wheaties today

but yea, good luck hitting that number if you dont even have a motor to build yet..youd spend most of it on the motor/swap/tuning/any bs parts you need along the way..and then more than 3500 to make your car 8 seconds...but i do hear ghost riding your car off a cliff gets it to 8 pretty cheap.

With $3500 you'll be lucky to get your car into the 12's.

I agree about the turbo D, you can get into 12's with a turbo D - though for the motor, I say GSR.

What the hell's the difference, I don't think this guy has any clue what in the **** he's talking about anyway.

Maybe that's just me though.

Sure it can be done, but after tires, tune, etc etc, i'm sure he'll be around $3500.

And if his car is stock, he'll want more than just a fast motor. he'll want wheels/susp too. Maybe some nice seats.
