Default what to do if paint chip spotted?

i just brought a 2005 rsx type-s. its a orange color car. i see chipped spot around the hood and fender. which the paint came off and i can see metal. i know its from little rocks on the highway. the question is> on these new car, will it rust if it gets in contact with water? is there a way i can cover it so water wont touches it. i know i dont want to primer it over it. let me know with some advice. thanks

You have 2 options, fix it right, or touch it up.

It all depends on the size.

I would try touching it up first, just to save money and your car from rusting. Then later on get it painted right

Buy a bottle of touch up from your local Honda dealership parts counter, then put paint in the chips. Some people put a couple of layers of touch up paint on, sand it out lightly to level it, then buff the area.

Drive your car to the dealer, or maybe even a local parts store. They should have small bottles of touch-up paint. Find one to match and dab into the chip.
DO NOT SAND!! there's no possible way to just sand where the chip is, so just take your time and buff afterwards

what kind of buff tool should i use after using the touch-up paint. they should have that orange paint for my car right. it's a factory color orange metalic i think.
