dont know much about brakes, little help.
aight... long story short, my caliper was seized up on me. so real quick, i disconnected the line and used an air compressor to pop out the caliper piston. then i pressed it back in and it wasnt seized up anymore. do i need to bleed my brakes now? just that one caliper right? the rest should still be OK, correct me if im wrong.
you'll need to bleed the whole system since it is afterall a system. Each caliper doesnt have its own feed. It all eventually tees into one. There is a certain order you need to do them in, if you dont have a manual i guess i could dig it up for you.
but there is a bleeder screw on each individual caliper. and the fluid never stopped running out of the brake line while i did what i had to do. and ive got a manual im just trying to avoid bleeding the whole system.
dude, my car still isnt back on the road from when i had to change my clutch. its just one thing after the other. im about two days out right now, and i dont even want to touch that car right now.

if you wanna do something fun, install some extended wheel studs on a lude. thats a PITA.</TD></TR></TABLE>
dont you just bring your hub to a shop and have them press in some new ones?

ha....no. well...i guess you could do that, but thats more money spent and then you gotta worry about you wheel bearing....expletive that, lol.
on the fronts you have to grind maybe 1/8th - 1/4" off the hub then you have to grind the heads of the stud down so you can slide it into the hub. It's ALOT of grinding, lol.
hour and half for one of the fronts, about 45 minutes of it was grinding, lol.

Yeah, you most likely wil have to bleed all the brakes. You could bleed that one caliper and then if you still have good pressure you' be fine....but it just depends.

i had to put on gloves cuz it was getting so hot, lol. I'd give it a break and put it in front of a fan at low speed for like 2 minutes then go back to grinding. I'm suprised nothing melted.
