YOU! You made Global Warming worst!!! Thanks Alot!!!! =P LOL!

If you replaced your cat with a "test pipe" you wouldn't get like a whole lot, maybe ok amount. Since you replace the cat with the pipe, there is no more O2 sensor in the cat. So the fuel mixture is towards making peak HP. So I guess that means more horsepower. So basically its just telling the computer, everything coming out of the tail pipe is awesome. But of course, you'll fail smog with the test pipe. My explanation of it.

replacing the cat with tubing wouldnt release some horsepower because of the exhaust flow restriction cause by the cat?

despite my avatar photo i am still a noob...

if the O2 sensor is a prob it is probably best just to get a high flow cat

i'd just get a high flow cat. some companies make a test pipe with bung for the O2 sensor.

It depends on if it is smog tested and are they going to check that you have a cat on your car. If your car looks like it has been moded they will.

1. Get a high flow cat

or...

2. Take the cat off and punch out the middle section.

not saying u wont gain ****, but ive seen dynos, where the difference of a cat and just straight tub, was a difference of 1HP, of course this was for Mitsubishi and not a Honda. Hondas aren't great when it comes to bolt ons though. If i can find the magazine that it is in, then i will tell u the brands they used

You'll get pretty noticable gains, I've been in a car before the cat was removed and afterwards. Even in our accords you get a decent bit of power, along the lines of gettin an intake. I'm no tree hugger either but I'd just like to point out that the difference in power between a test pipe and a highflow cat is typically just 1hp so you might as well get the highflow cat and save the planet.
