Since this got brought up...

What turn signal cancellation are you guys using? JDM or USDM? Also, what SRS reel are you using? JDM or USDM?

I took my USDM wheel off and pondered for about an hour trying to make my chit work. It DOES NOT ALIGN. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but the only way I could have made it work was to break the tabs on the turn signal cancellation, which to me is not an option. I know some :cough: WALKER :cough: have the wheel and have turn signal cancellation so what gives?

Nope, after I almost threw the damn thing across the shop and after about 5 cigs, I put the USDM one back on and haven't looked back yet. BUT, I do have an important mile stone coming up so I'd like to put it on, since it's just collecting dust at the moment.

What all came with the wheel? Wheel/airbag/hub, what else?

x2... Was it USDM SRS Reel or JDM? Which turn signal cancellation?

<---- who can't believe it's this damn difficult. It's got to be a missing piece, or one that most got with their wheel and I did not.

Dave try reading this write up I did a couple months of ago, maybe it'll help you out:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1875083

but yes it requires breaking the tabs, which you say you don't wanna do, but why not?

Why not break the tabs? I'd rather keep the USDM wheel before I have to return the turn signal ever time I use it. That wouldn't be worth it at all.

All this breaking stuff is wierd...... My turn signals cancel them selves out.... I didnt break any tabs.

LMFAO!!!

WTF was I thinking... I kept the arrow pointing up when I tried to install it last. I didn't even have to break those pins in question. I turned the SRS clock to 0300 (Yeah, that's 3 o'clock Jim) and everything aligned...

Now the only thing is that cancellation of your turn signals wont be exactly even.. On right hand turns the steering wheel will have to rotate a bit further before the turn signal shuts off...and on left turns it will be a bit shorter. Nothing major IMO.

I broke the tabs, but used the gooves in the hub to cancel the signals. On mine, if I didn't break the tabs the wheel would not fit right.

Nice wheel Black Fire, where you get it?

Thats why I broke off the black tabs to keep it even on both sides.

From all of my reading when trying to install mine, by doing that since as walker stated, it won't be even, I was under the impression that there was a chance it could snap the cable reel if you turned it too hard.

She's on that way for now. We'll see how it does. Now that I've driven it a bit, I'm off a spline or 2, so I'll be pulling it back off again.
