Default mystery noises coming from the rear

I cant find out what the sounds are coming from. The sound occurs over vibration or bumps. It sounds like rattling/squishing. It sounds like it is coming from the trunk..
I thought it might possibly be the poles/levers that control the backseat pull-downs. I taped those down and it still makes the noise.

I can also hear it outside the car. I don't think its the shocks because they react to bumps and obsticles fine.

Any ideas? Or has anyone ever experienced the same sound?

can you describe the sound?? youtube it lol.

Jack rattling? Suspension? Brakes? Bushings? Bolts? Trunk? Spare Tire? E-Brake? Brake Lines? Shocks? Springs? Wheels? Tires?

Really don't know what to tell you find a mechanic and tell him to come for a ride, and maybe then you'll know.

Oh wait!!!! just thought, if it is your ball joints, get that changed stat!!!! or you're going to pay a lot more later. screech/scrape/squish could be ball joints...if it separates, your tire will come lose (arms will separate) and may wreck a fender, a cv shaft, etc...etc... get someone to look under your car.

yeah! its familiar to this.
I've checked my jack, spare tire setup, trunk, bumper, speaker, and anything that could be loose. It all seems fine.

For some reason, it sounds like it comes from the rear right speaker..but sometimes it comes from the left side, too!

Any other ideas? Or does anyone else have this in their car? Let us know!

it could possibly be the rear sway bar being loose or hanging.take a look under the rear of your car and see if anything it hanging or loose.my car made a kind of rattling/loose tool noise coming from the trunk.i came to find that my driver side rear sway bar mount came off the chassis.
also could be the ball joints.if it was the ball joints it would make the noise all the time for the most part(not just bumps, pot holes, etc..).

IM almost 100 percent sure its the sway bar. My accord does this too after i lowered my car. I was replacing the right rear spring and when i was taking the sway bar off, I strip one of the bolts that held the bar from the bottom. So it looks like its hanging by one bolt on that u shaped clamp.

check that out, im just too cheap to fix it.
