Yeah, I've got an idea.

Sell or trade the B16 for a motorcycle engine. Better mounting, lower weight, lower CG, easier FD configurations.

Also, if you're putting something the size of a B in a tube frame, it's no longer a 'go cart', it's a buggy or car.

Just to note, this seems to be the type of thing that is WAY over your head. No offense intended, just the truth. Take careful stock of your experience and wallet before you try and dive head first into this one.

dont waste a b16 on a project like this.

Do u relize how fast a d16a6 would be in anything near 1000lbs?

its certian death, and if u do it, i will buy it once u relize how much of a waste it was

seriously.

125cc- 0-100-0 mph <10 secs or so.

250cc in less than 6 I believe.

400cc (maybe 800cc?) competition kart <10sec off F1 car at interlagos

Are you planning on building a car out of PVC and paper?!?

The off-road race carts I build weigh in at ~400 lbs, and that's with a 64 lbs, single cylinder engine.

You are seriously underestimating the magnitude of many items of this project.

just because ur cart had 11hp, doesnt mean u know how to ride a cart thats going to be fast

Ur not going to get this done anyways, i have a hard time beleiving that u are able to wire a complete ECU harness, and thats just part of the work thats going to be needed.

I've built a few formula-style cars powered by CBR600 motors, they weigh in at about 450lb but others range from 330-900.

We also stuck a kx500 on a kart chassis, it vibrated so much the driver couldn't see and eventually shook itself off the kart!
