Default go kart

ok so heres the deal..... i am trying to put a b16 gen 1 motor on my go kart.... i am having a lil doubts about the frame integrity and flew and just the torque killing the frame.... any ideas???

i knw probelly none of u have done this but i got a welder tires axels engine tranny.. and nvr seen it done and its a sweet project.

son tons of 1000cc engines on karts, holds fine, just wld the **** up right. go buy a used racing kart frame, or goto a website and copy one but make it stronger.

ya i was looking at there frames and didnt much like them to short fo me need longer an wider to be able to support the engine..... ya i knw.... want to beat my neighbors f-355 spider...

i looked at quater midgets and stuff for ideas and talked around but nobody has mounting ideas or frame idea setups

If you're really doing that, it should be hella cool. GL with the build.

Though I'd be scared as hell with a 1990 crx d15 in my go cart. Much less a b-series

It would be faster with a Suzuki GSXR 600/750/1000 motor, and a hell of alot easier.

id go and say try a d series motor and find the old carburated zc motors manifold and throw it on a z6. not DPFI

box the frame and triangulate it wheare ever possible,

id say just go ahead with a sand rail, they arent that far fetched and very common in socal with subaru wrx engines

ya i will c if i get traction but my first goal was a turbo motor... so later i mite turbo the b16.... my problem now is stopping it???? dont know how i would cutom mount calipers.....


FYI a running b16 straight from the header is bad@ss
