injen, fujita, aem for short rams, anything else isnt worthy and you would be better off with the stock air box, as far as cold airs go, injen or fujita since injen and fujita are basically the same company..but comptech superchargers ftw..haha

thats my opinions..
im prly going injen cold air myself..

Quick question. Kind of OT.

Do you guys know if the CTR intake is the same as the Si's? On the ITR's, it's different than the other DC's.

Just curious.

dont buy and intake..... get a throttle body spacer and thermal gaskets. gains are much better and total for all teh parts is only 180.. here is a link to get them. trust me do it.

Get two of these:
http://www.corsportusa.com/sto...=1427
One of these:
http://www.corsportusa.com/sto...=1685

And if you wanna go all out get and Intake Manifold Gasket and the same time.
http://www.corsportusa.com/sto...=1647

If you do get it.. here is an install thread

and where is evidence to support this claim? Honda "claims" that the stock intake is a cold air intake, but the filter box is too close to the engine for comfort in my opinion.

Go with Injen.

the filter box doesn't draw air from near the engine. The filterbox has a hosescoming out that draws air from in the fender area much like a cold air intake would. Just cause the filter is near the motor, it doesn't mean that's where the air is coming from. also, the stock intake box absorbs less heat than a metal tube from a CAI

I think that the SI only has one tube! Correct me if I am wrong so what car does this diagram belong to?

The diagram is correct and the proof about the spacer/gasket combo is here.

http://www.8thcivic.com/forums...t=p2r

Also i have had a SRI, and it was ok.... i have also had an Injen CAI.... too much throttle lag, the setup i mentioned before is by far the best for your money.

-Ley - Please do not second guess my judgement unless you have something to back it up with.

I don't remember my airbox resonator having a second tube going to it from the stock airbox.

how would the resonator work if it wasn't attatched to the airbox?

your resonator only had the tube in the fender then? not connected to the intake at all?

I remember the one tube from the air box to the resonator that enters from the side but not the one shown from the top of the resonator.

The one on the top right runs to the top of your fender. If you still dont believe up i have it outta my car and will take a pic to prove our point.

Did anyone verify whether or not it fits? I thought there was some relocating of things in the engine bay for it to fit.

Also somebody on the 8th cut off the resonator/snorkel off their stock intake and smoothed out the inside of the airbox, and while the HP gains weren't huge it did show decent torque gains on the dyno.
