Default 07 Civic Si vs. 2002 Acura TL-P

Hey whats up, So I gotta Friend that has a brand new 2007 Honda civic Si and he wants to race me for $100. I would usually just say ya against a stock civic but I know the Si's are pretty quick and I know that its light as hell also. So Im kinda delaying the race untill I hear from you guys. So Let me know if i have a chance on this one. Ive posted this thread in Acurazine and on Honda-Tech so i dont get biased opinons.

If you have the money to waste, go ahead...

He'll be low 15's, high 14's at best. I'm pretty sure you're low 15's if you try hard enough. The big problem is your gearing- auto trannies for the *****-****** LOSE. My mom's TL does nicely for itself, but i've never raced the damned thing.

How much do your 19's weigh? that could be a problem too.

You could always pray he misses a shift! How well does he drive?

only nice thing about an automatic... no missed shifts or grinding gears.. lol

I actually think SOHCs are worse than DOHCs. I drove both a SOHC and DOHC 2.3 motor. The ability for the exhaust cam and intake cam to be fine tuned (and offer variable valve timing on both) allows it to make more power throughout the powerband. With a SOHC, you have the same cam running both intake and exhaust valves, which limits its effectiveness compared to a good DOHC motor.

Could you tell me right quick what would be a better motor for my Skyline, a Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24?
