Default Ques. for 97-98 ITR owners w/o A/C

For 97-98 ITR owners that did not have the air installed at the dealer, Is there anything in front of your radiator, from the factory, (where the a/c condensor would go if so equipt) that would help protect it from debris?

Thanks,
Mattj

I didn't think in 97's it was even an option? if the system is sealed I will buy it depending on how much you want.

First of all an Intercooler is not Rice! and a motor being built is not Rice! but a big funky wire mesh grille is Rice!.When you clutter your car all up when big and funky crap that is Rice!.Such as fiberglass whale bone lookin for a spoiler that weighs the car down more than anything.Or those stickers that people put on their cars that try to make em look like there on the "Fast and the Flourescent".

is it rice if its functional? guess im just getting old, and maybe im just not "hip" with the new "lingo" you hard core racers use. i personally like to keep rocks away from my expensive intercooler, and i even like people not knowing i have one. i guess stealth is rice these days.

some people might think spending 3000+ on some bodywork and headlights when you could be buying go-fast parts and dyno time is ricy. i personally dont believe in rice. to each his own.

Why not just paint the intercooler black?

Be careful with those grille mesh. If you track the car, the water temp. could get a bit high!! Because it disturbs the air flow!!!

Yeah, why not paint the intercooler black, and remove the mesh.

Quote from integrated109 "i personally like to keep rocks away from my expensive intercooler."

Thats why painting it black won't help. Also painting an intercooler rasies the temp, because it makes the aluminum retain heat, and if not done right could clog passages.
