I have a 1991 Accord with new battery and i just put a new stereo in it and now the lights in my stereo dim when its loud, i havent noticed the headlights dimming but engine seems to crank slowly. I had the problem where it wouldn't start in the heat and i got the main relay replaced, and it didnt solve it so i took it to the dealership and they bored out the EGR port and now starts but still cranks slow. Anyone have an idea of what could be bad eletrically to make the stereo lights dim and crank slow? battery is 8 months old(and still puts out 14 volts) and i did a test i read about to check the alternator.(started the car and then unhooked the battery car still ran) So why do my stereo lights dim and my engine crank slow?

 

How many cold cranking amps is your battery pushing ?

 

i have no idea i just have a meter that says volts (found in my garage its over 30 years old from my dads cars)
